Uncle R has a really neat green canoe that he brought with him camping. On Saturday, Daddy and Uncle R took Ramble, Honeygirl, and Raptor out on a 3 hour tour. Don't worry, they didn't get shipwrecked like that other group of fearless explorers who only set sail on a 3 hour tour! Sunny decided to stay back with Aunt B and me.
Our fearless explorers get ready for their trip. Complete with animal crackers, snack sticks, water, more snacks, and 1 portable potty for the smallest who promised to 'yisten' to the grownups if we let her in the canoe.
Ramble loved the oars and really wanted to row.
Raptor was so excited and checked out everything about the canoe.
As soon as we met them to pick the explorers up, the kids burst into speech. In about 10 seconds, I heard about turtles, 'yistening', getting wet, and having tons of fun.
There were tons of these blue butterflies. This one took a rest on the canoe as the guys flipped it to drain the plethora of leaves the kids had collected.
More pictures to come but I have to say one thing--after 13 years of camping together, IT DID NOT RAIN ON US!!!!! NOT ONE DROP OF RAIN!!!!! We broke the curse! YAHOOOOOO!!!!!
boy we are lucky!!! now we need to break our curse of the drive taking twice as long...we were excited about there not being any ice on the roads this time! Miss you guys already!
