Rabbits and the Wind playing in the snow

We have had what I think are snowshoe hares in our yard. They are giant! We've also seen them as we drive to school in the morning. Some are pure white and others are white with some black or brown on them. This one was white but for some reason my picture makes it look brown. Oh well.

It looks to me and the kids as if the wind decided to have a huge snowball fight and was rolling lots of snowballs to prepare for it. We've never seen this before! It was in every open field, yard, and park! Crazy.
